The Alberta Not-For-Profit Association partnered with 5 Days for the Homeless to host ANPA’s 2023 Internal Case Competition: Case For A Cause. Case For A Cause aimed to provide meaningful solutions to a local NFP in Edmonton, AB, where teams from the University of Alberta competed and gained hands-on experience with our case partner: More Than a Fad.
About More Than a Fad
More Than A Fad (MTAF) was started in 2020 after fortunately acquiring a thrift shop. The offer seemed to be a promising way to create profits that could be reinvested into Adeara, a method to raise awareness about the addiction recovery centre that helps women establish a life free from addiction. Since the launch of the store, Adeara and MTAF have received tremendous amounts of support and hope to grow more in the upcoming years. Adeara supporters and the general Edmonton community alike have blessed the organization with donations, volunteers, and have just helped them spread the word on addiction. Though the store is still relatively new, they are very optimistic about what is to come in the future of the organization.
